Raising a House of Worship Is Hearty Task for Many Hands
Collaboration Is Key for Contractors Faced With a Kaleidoscope of Challenges

The pastor or rabbi, the organist, the Sunday school teacher, the board of directors and the congregants — that’s just some of the many users that a builder has to accommodate while trying to erect a house of worship.

Legacy Building Services, part of the Pacific Scene family of companies, has begun construction on Seven on Anchorage, a seven-unit luxury condominium project along Anchorage Lane in Point Loma. The commercial/industrial construction company will be building the 21,000-square-foot project above one level of subterranean parking for developer Anchorage Lane II, LLC. Designed by Richard Yen & Associates, the three-story townhomes will be a combination of cast-in-place concrete, structural steel and wood framing with a contemporary design to take maximum advantage of the views to San Diego Bay and downtown San Diego.

Jim Knorr, general superintendent for San Diego's Legacy Building Services, was named 2005 Superintendent of the Year by the American Subcontractors Association of San Diego County.
