Description
Legacy Building Services has begun work on a new four-story 50-unit student housing project near San Diego State University. Located adjacent to the SDSU campus, the eco-friendly, LEED Certified project will include 2-levels of subterranean parking, a multipurpose room, two open courtyards, and ground-floor retail. The estimated $9.3 million dollar project will be ready for move-in for the fall semester of 2011.

Legacy is the Construction Manager on this Multiple-Prime project that will renovate The Miramar Aviation Maintenance Building Technology Center for San Diego Community College District. The project will repair and renovate the existing 15,300 SF building and will include retrofit of existing classrooms and lab spaces and the construction of new classroom spaces. Design Development began September 2009 and Construction is expected to begin in late 2010.

Missions Student Housing consisted of a new 72 Unit, 258 Bed, 4-story student apartment residence. Included was demolition and removal of an existing building. The University of San Diego is a Catholic University founded in 1949. This component of housing adds 258 new beds to USD’s inventory.

Designed to strengthen the minds, bodies and spirits of students, the fitness center features a yoga/pilates exercise rooom, cardio equipment, strength training and more. The Missions Cafe is a full-service coffee/juice bar and sandwich shop featuring an assortment of healthy food choice and late night snack options including fresh organic foods such as sandwiches, salads, plus frozen yogurt.
